Fun question!

If you could pick only one movie genre to watch until the end of time…what would it be?

Are you into high-speed action-adventure 🚔 chases all day? Maybe it’s a zombie apocalypse 🧟‍♂️ that keeps you on the edge of your seat. Or is it the magic of rom-com that captures your ❤️?

Have you ever wondered HOW the talented actors who make these epic movies actually land the part that brings the pages of a script to life?

Well, that’s where we come in!

Here at One On One / Next Level, we help actors forge their own relationships with the industry instead of waiting for the phone to ring.

We pride ourselves on being a space for trained, committed actors to build a community and network, thereby being a bridge to their success.

We offer in-person programming across 3 campuses - Los Angeles, New York, and online - along with special programs & collaborations with renowned institutions such as the USC School of Cinematic Arts Film School & NYU Tisch Grad Film School.

The entertainment industry is now resurging after a pandemic pause. We’re poised and ready to amplify our 30-year track record with creative marketing buzz to help us connect the best acting talent with accomplished industry professionals.

To help us make our vision a reality, we’re adding a new Marketing Manager to our team!

If this sounds like a match for who you are and what you’re really good at doing (and you have some experience to prove it), click to apply.

We’d love to have you as part of our incredible team & community!

Responsibilities

Partnerships & Alliances (55%)

  • Research, initiate and facilitate aligned relationships and collaborations with talent reps, acting teachers & schools, studios, and other entertainment industry partners across the U.S. Yes, this means you get to talk to strangers all the time. Fun, right?!
  • Hit your targets by ensuring that all partnerships & alliances lead to new member acquisition, program sign ups, & other revenue-generating outcomes. You love having targets and pursuing them with a sense of urgency month after month.

Content Creation & Engagement (40%)

  • Participate in creating the content calendar through a collaborative team process. Become intimately familiar with the studio's programming calendar, enrollment trends, and ideal member profile to generate ideas for social media, email newsletters, and other forms of content.
  • Put your creative muscles to work by using templates & style guides to personally develop individual pieces of content that nurture our audience and invite them to become members. This means writing copy & creating visuals for both new & repurposed reels, stories, and posts on Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook.
  • Find ways that our marketing can be better & get the team’s support to make the changes. Tweaking a landing page to increase conversions or A/B testing email subject lines are examples of what you do.
  • Write copy & design email newsletters to keep our member community engaged and inspired to sign up for our next program or offer.
  • Bring new marketing ideas that help us expand our reach. Found a new way to get in front of our target audience? Great! Heard about a new partner that we just have to work with? Awesome! You’re on the pulse, keeping your knowledge fresh, and bringing those new ideas to life.
  • Use fun & warm copy to promote our classes, events, partnerships, and special offerings, to boost our membership. You’re a boss at both the art & the science of using CTAs to inspire our followers to become members and ultimately sign up for classes.

Program Delivery Support (5%)

  • Take the lead when needed to ensure our programming is set up to be successful. This could be classroom setup, greeting instructors, securing readers at the last minute, or notifying a class that it has been rescheduled.

Teamwork

  • Get to know us & let us get to know you by proactively building relationships with everyone on the team.
  • Learn the ins & outs of the business…that’s everything from sales to program delivery to customer service & everything in between. You understand the overall flow and use that to get your job done.
  • Support the Managing Director & other team members on other related projects as requested.

This could be you if…

How you work:

  • No task is too big or too small for you. You’re ready to take responsibility, get your hands dirty, and get it all done.
  • Multi-tasking is the name of your game. You keep all the plates spinning & enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
  • You are resourceful and open to outside of the box methods to reach new audiences, form new partnerships, and get in front of our target audience.
  • You aren't afraid to make cold calls, slide into a new contact’s DMs, experiment with making cover letter videos, or even send a good 'ole fashioned fax’. It’s all in the name of building relationships and representing our brand with excellence.
  • You have a good eye for aesthetics and can create basic graphics that are in tune with the studio's brand.
  • You love the idea of being the voice behind the brand. Your name may be out of sight, but your words will be front and center. Your priority is to get the ideas out.
  • You’re an action-oriented, self-starter. You get your work done on time (or early) and pride yourself on not needing to be managed to meet your deadlines.
  • When facing new challenges, you rely on your resourcefulness to get up to speed, find solutions, and keep moving forward.
  • You’re invested in your personal & professional development and want to grow in a fast-paced company for the long term.

Who you are:

  • You have 3-5 years of experience in communications, copywriting, content creation, and/or marketing with a diverse team.
  • You share our commitment to help actors build successful careers and take control of their professional lives.
  • You’re a strong communicator. Whether it’s written or verbally, you strike a healthy balance between being honest, clear, and considering how your words & tone will make someone else feel.
  • You know your way around social media platforms (Facebook, IG, & TikTok) and love spending your work day building our presence there.
  • You’re discerning, savvy, and know how to connect with and influence people. We’re talking actors, talent agents, managers, and creatives from all walks of life. There’s no such thing as a stranger in your world.
  • Detail, details, details! You know the details matter and you’d never dream of sending something out that doesn’t look just right. Typos & off brand ideas are a no-no.
  • You enjoy a good laugh and like to have fun with the people you work with.
  • Experience in or exposure to the television, film, and/or theatre industries in New York, Los Angeles, and regional markets such as Atlanta and New Mexico is an asset, but not required.
  • Familiarity with IMDBPro, Casting About, and the industry “trades” such as Deadline, Hollywood Reporter, Variety, etc. is an asset, but not required.
  • You don’t want to build your own acting career or resume. This is not a gig to make entertainment industry connections and build your own resume.

  • Canva for content creation
  • Constant Contact for email communication
